Excavation work has resumed in the western section of the 12,000-year-old Çayönü Tepesi after a 50-year hiatus.

Excavations at the 12,000-year-old Çayönü Tepesi in Ergani district of Diyarbakır, which first began in 1964 and were later halted, have resumed 50 years later, this time focusing on the western area (Area H).
