According to a statement made by the company, 177 student teams from 49 countries and regions qualified for the 2025–2026 finals of the competition, which was held for the 10th time. Students competed in the finals with their applied projects in the "network," "cloud," "computing," and "innovation" categories.

In the competition, the student team participating from Sivas Science and Technology University won first place in the "network" category.

The student team from Eskişehir Osmangazi University won second place in the "cloud" category, while the team from Karadeniz Technical University won third place in the "computing" category.

"Çayönü AI-VR Project"

In the "Innovation" category, a team formed by students from Koç University, Istanbul Technical University, and Çanakkale 18 Mart University was awarded second place with their application titled the "Çayönü AI-VR Project."

The project—which digitally recreates Çayönü Mound, a 9,000-year-old Neolithic settlement in Diyarbakır province, by combining artificial intelligence (AI) and virtual reality (VR) technologies alongside archaeological data and academic databases while offering an interactive experience with guided content—was praised for its innovation.

In the competition, which received applications from 220,000 students across more than 100 countries worldwide, Turkish students had the opportunity to showcase their innovative perspectives as well as their theoretical and practical skills in technology through their achievements.

Turkey's Ambassador to Beijing, Selçuk Ünal, called the winning students to congratulate them and wish them continued success.

Turkey's Consul General in Guangzhou, Adnan Hayal, accompanied and supported the Turkish student team that came to China for the finals.
